asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he has studied a memorandum which has been sent to him about the difficulties of exporting radio and electronic components, which include the filling up of forms required by his Department; and what steps he is taking to overcome these difficulties.

Yes, Sir. I appreciate that stiff competition, in which price plays an important part, is being met in our export markets from German and other foreign competitors. The Government are aware of the need to keep export formalities to a minimum and are doing all they can to reduce these, and other, obstacles to the flow of trade.
