§ [Progress, 28th June]
§ Considered in Committee.
§ [Sir CHARLES MACANDREW in the Chair]
§ 3.41 p.m.
§ The ChairmanI think that it would be for the convenience of the Committee to take the new Clause relating to child allowance in the name of the right hon. Member for Leeds, South (Mr. Gaitskell) with the new Clause to provide a "tapering" for child allowance and the new Clause relating to apprentices in the name of the same right hon. Gentleman, together with the new Clause in the name of the hon. Member for Orkney and Shetland (Mr. Grimond) relating to allowance for children.
§ Mr. Hugh Gaitskell (Leeds, South)We are quite agreeable to having in one debate the discussion of all these Clauses as long as it is understood that if we wish we may divide on the Clause itself.
§ The ChairmanThe right hon. Gentleman will not be able to divide on every one.
