I beg to move, in page 49, line 15, after "in," to insert "section seventeen and." This Amendment repairs an omission from the Bill. It was never intended that parties to a long tenancy of residential premises should be able to contract out of the provisions of Part I by making an oral as opposed to a written agreement. That could happen as the Bill stands and the Amendment repairs the omission.
