HC Deb 02 June 1954 vol 528 c1298
Mr. James McInnes (Glasgow, Central)

I beg to move, in page 2, line 38. after "authority," to insert: without undue postponement of the clearance of the area. I have tabled this Amendment as a result of the undertaking by the Minister that it would be welcomed if it were made in the line preceding the one to which it was originally moved. I presume that the Minister will now accept the Amendment.

Mr. Thomas Fraser (Hamilton)

I beg to second the Amendment.

The Secretary of State for Scotland (Mr. James Stuart)

The hon. Member for Glasgow, Central (Mr. McInnes) is quite right. Now that the Amendment has been moved in what we believe to be the correct place, I have much pleasure in accepting it.

Amendment agreed to.
