HC Deb 01 June 1954 vol 528 c1064
23 and 24. Mr. Holt

asked the Secretary of State for War (1) whether he will revise the small booklet entitled, "Your Service with the Territorial Army, W.O. Code No. 5803," which is issued to National Service men on finishing their two years' National Service;

(2) if, preparatory to the revision of W.O. Code No. 5803, he will give instructions to ensure that all National Service men already in and all those about to enter the Territorial Army understand the details of what is meant by the expression 15 days out-of-camp training, and in this respect how many hours constitute half a day and how many hours constitute a whole day.

Mr. J. R. H. Hutchison

Yes, Sir. An Amendment to make clear how days of training are calculated will be made to this pamphlet when it is next reprinted. Meanwhile, I do not think that any special instruction is necessary since the subject is fully covered in the Regulations and in another pamphlet, which are available in all units. I am grateful to the hon. Member for bringing this point to my notice.
