§ 35. Sir E. Boyleasked the Minister of Works if he is yet in a position to announce the date on which the Committee on litter in the Royal Parks will present its report; and if he will make a statement.
§ Sir D. EcclesIn three months the Committee on litter has secured a marked improvement in St. James's Park and in the Green Park. Further experiments will be made at the August Bank Holiday and a new design for litter-baskets is being tried out. In all their work, the Committee has received much ingenious help from the Press. I do not expect their report until the autumn, but in the 1166 meantime the Committee and the public deserve to be congratulated on the reduction in litter which has been achieved.
