§ Mr. BlytonI beg to move, in page 75, line 15, at the end, to insert:
exemptions granted and requirements imposed by the inspector. The Clause deals with the keeping of records at a colliery. We think it essential that where an inspector exempts a colliery from the safety requirements of the Bill, a record of the exemptions should be kept in the colliery so that people at the colliery shall know exactly what they are.
§ Mr. Geoffrey LloydWe entirely accept the need for this provision but this Clause is not the appropriate place to deal with it. It is best dealt with in Clauses 97 and 98.
§ Mr. BlytonIn view of the Minister's explanation, I beg to ask leave to withdraw the Amendment.
§ Amendment, by leave, withdrawn.
§ Amendment made: In page 75, line 31, leave out "at all reasonable times."—[Mr. Joynson-Hicks.]
