Resolved: That for the purposes of any Act of the present Session to provide security of tenure for certain residential tenants and for the renewal of certain business, professional and other tenancies, it is expedient to authorise the payment out of moneys provided by Parliament—

  1. (a) of any increase in the sums payable out of such moneys under any enactment, being an increase attributable to provisions of the said Act of the present session requiring compensation to be paid by Government departments and local authorities in certain cases,
  2. (b) of the remuneration of assessors summoned under section eighty-eight of the County Courts Act, 1934, in proceedings 1880 under the said Act of the present session or Part I of the Landlord and Tenant Act, 1927.—[Sir D. Maxwell Fyfe.]
