HC Deb 21 January 1954 vol 522 cc1171-2
3. Mr. G. Thomas

asked the Minister of Health whether he will now resume the practice of publishing a separate annual report of the work of the Welsh Board of Health.

6. Mr. P. Morris

asked the Minister of Health if he will resume the pre-war practice of publishing the annual report of the Welsh Board of Health as a separate section of the annual report of his Department.

Mr. Iain Macleod

It may not be appropriate to follow exactly the pre-war practice, but I have every sympathy with the proposal and I am arranging for a separate section on the state of the public health in Wales to be included in the next annual report of my Department, together with separate statistics of special interest to Wales.

Mr. Thomas

Is the Minister aware that his reply will give satisfaction throughout the Principality and, further, will he endeavour to let us have, with the special statistics he has promised, the details concerning people suffering from tuberculosis, which is our special anxiety?

Mr. Macleod

Yes, tuberculosis figures, on which there is a Question later, will certainly be included.
