Motion made, and Question proposed,
That a Supplementary sum, not exceeding £61,000, be granted to Her Majesty, to defray the charge which will come in course of payment during the year ending on the 31st day of March 1954, for the salaries and other expenses in the Department of Her Majesty's Treasury and subordinate departments, including the salary and expenses of the Secretary of State for the Co-ordination of Transport, Fuel and Power, and the additional salary payable to the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster.
Whereupon Motion made, and Question, "That the Chairman do report Progress, and ask leave to sit again."—[Mr. Buchan-Hepburn]—put, and agreed to.
