32. Mr. Ernest Davies

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs if he will now make a statement on Government policy in regard to the future programme of the Overseas Information Services; and if he will publish a White Paper thereon, incorporating the recommendations of the Drogheda Committee and the Government's decision in regard to them.

Mr. Eden

I hope to be able to make a statement on this subject in the near future.

Mr. Davies

Is it proposed that a White Paper shall be published?

Mr. Eden

Something of that nature will very likely be possible, but I would rather not commit myself until I have had a chance to look at the matter.
