HC Deb 15 February 1954 vol 523 c1642
40. Mr. A. Henderson

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he is satisfied that the military provisions of the Korean Armistice Agreement have been observed by both sides during the nine months of its operation.

Mr. Selwyn Lloyd

Numerous allegations of breaches of the military provisions of the Armistice Agreement have been made by both sides. Many of these have been investigated in accordance with the Agreement. Although no serious breaches of the Armistice have been established, it cannot be said that the Neutral Nations Supervisory Commission has been able to operate effectively, because of the behaviour of its Czech and Polish members.
