§ 6. Mr. Remnantasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what conditions are imposed on West Indian immigrants before they are allowed entry to this country.
§ Major Lloyd-GeorgeUnder the existing law there is no restriction on the entry of any British subjects into this country. They are free to come here, and there is no power to make their entry subject to conditions.
§ Mr. RemnantWill my right hon. and gallant Friend consider imposing the same conditions on these people as are imposed on entrants to their country?
§ Major Lloyd-GeorgeThis is a matter which I am sure my hon. Friend will realise is of very great difficulty and complexity. I cannot say any more at the moment than that it is being looked into.
