HC Deb 06 December 1954 vol 535 c594
36. Mr. Simmons

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs if the Government will consider the advisability of increasing the British contribution to the United Nations Fund for Technical Aid, in view of the fact that the British Commonwealth as a whole receives more from this fund than the contribution made.

Mr. Turton

As my right hon. Friend informed the House on 24th November, Her Majesty's Government have decided, subject to the approval of Parliament, to increase their contribution from £.650,000 to £800,000 in 1955.
