HC Deb 01 December 1954 vol 535 c145
Mr. Speaker

I have to inform the House that I have received the following letter from the Central Criminal Court, City of London, E.C.4:

30th November, 1954.

To the Right Honourable W. S. Morrison, Speaker of the House of Commons

SIR,

It is with regret that I have to inform you that one of the Members of the House of Commons, Peter Arthur David Baker, appeared before me here today on an indictment containing seven counts of uttering forged documents knowing them to be forged.

He pleaded guilty to six of those counts and was sentenced by me to seven years' imprisonment on each of those six counts, the sentences to run concurrently.

I remain, Sir,

Yours faithfully,

G. JUSTIN LYNSKEY,

One of H.M. Judges.
