HC Deb 27 April 1954 vol 526 c1448
16. Mr. Langford-Holt

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what consultations he has had with the Air Ministry on the desirability of selling used lubricating oil commercially without ensuring that such used oil is, in the national interest, re-refined.

The Economic Secretary to the Treasury (Mr. R. Maudling)

None. Sir.

Mr. Langford-Holt

Can my hon. Friend say whether the policy of Her Majesty's Government on this matter remains the same now as in previous years?

Mr. Maudling

Certainly there has been no change since I last wrote to my hon. Friend on the subject.
