HC Deb 22 October 1953 vol 518 cc2148-9
46. Mr. Dodds

asked the Prime Minister whether he will now attempt to arrange a meeting between himself and Mr. Malenkov.

The Prime Minister

I would refer the hon. Member to the replies I gave on Tuesday, 20th of October, to which I have nothing to add.

Mr. Dodds

Does the Prime Minister remember that on Tuesday he said he did not think that that was the kind of occasion for it? Would he, therefore, explain what is the kind of occasion in Parliament when we might expect an answer to this very important question?

The Prime Minister

I should find it very difficult to forecast a date which is obviously influenced by so many hypothetical questions.
