HC Deb 23 November 1953 vol 521 cc25-6
44. Mr. A. Henderson

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs what proposals have been made by the United Kingdom for the holding of a five-power Conference on Trieste.

Mr. Eden

The right hon. and learned Gentleman will not expect me to discuss at this moment details of the rather delicate negotiations which are at present in progress. In the circumstances, I would prefer not to add to the statement which I made to the House on 9th November last.
