asked the President of the Board of Trade if he will now make a further statement on the Anglo-Spanish trade negotiations.

These negotiations entered what I hope will be their final phase last Monday, when a delegation of United Kingdom officials arrived in Madrid to conclude the discussions about trade and payments arrangements for the remainder of this year and to make corresponding arrangements for 1954.

Will the right hon. Gentleman issue a White Paper about the negotiations when they are concluded?

We had better wait until they are concluded before deciding about that.
