HC Deb 10 November 1953 vol 520 c765
26. Major Anstruther-Gray

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland what progress has now been made with the scheme for improving the entrance to Eyemouth Harbour.

Mr. J. Stuart

I understand the matter is still under consideration by the Harbour Trust who are examining possible ways of improving conditions at the harbour entrance.

Major Anstruther-Gray

Yes, but will my right hon. Friend bear in mind that money is constantly being spent on temporary dredging, and if there is anything he can do to speed up a permanent scheme, it will be very much to the advantage of the county of Berwickshire?

Mr. Stuart

Yes, Sir.
