HC Deb 20 May 1953 vol 515 c2058
23. Mr. Grey

asked the Assistant Postmaster-General how far the demands of the defence programme upon the electronics industry still imposes limitations upon the rate of provision of telephones and the extension of British Broadcasting Corporation's services.

Mr. Gammans

The demands of the defence programme upon the electronics industry do not directly limit the provision of telephones nor are they the only factor in determining the extension of the B.B.C.'s services.
