HC Deb 11 May 1953 vol 515 c853
2. Mr. W. T. Williams

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs what instructions he proposes to give to the United Kingdom representative on the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations at its next meeting in Geneva, when a detailed plan will be considered for a special fund for grants-in-aid and low-interest long-term loans to under-developed countries for their economic development.

The Minister of State (Mr. Selwyn Lloyd)

It is not the practice to disclose beforehand the instructions given to delegations to international conferences. The Experts' Report on the establishment of a special fund was published on 26th April, and it is now under consideration.
