HC Deb 05 May 1953 vol 515 cc178-9
5. Major Anstruther-Gray

asked the Secretary of State for War what requests he has received from the British Broadcasting Corporation for facilities for the televising of the Trooping the Colour in London and other military spectacles; and what facilities he is granting.

Mr. Head

Full facilities for televising Trooping the Colour are being provided for the Corporation and I am always ready to help over other Army ceremonies.

Captain Duncan

Are the War Office receiving any financial consideration for granting these facilities? If so, will regimental funds be helped by transferring some of the money to them?

Mr. Head

No, Sir. We are not receiving any financial consideration.
