§ The Chancellor of the Exchequer (Mr. R. A. Butler)The instructions issued to all Government Departments early last year to employ all fit and willing officers of all grades for as long as practicable are now in operation. The best methods of encouraging similar action elsewhere are among the matters being considered by the National Advisory Committee on the Employment of Older Men and Women which my right hon. and learned Friend the Minister of Labour has set up for this purpose.
