§ Sir W. MoncktonThis dispute arose following the firm's decision last May to issue notices of redundancy to 30 of their employees. My officers have been in contact with the parties at various times during the course of this protracted dispute, but it has not been possible to find an acceptable basis upon which the employers are prepared to meet the unions concerned with a view to reaching a settlement.
