HC Deb 02 March 1953 vol 512 c11
12. Mrs. Castle

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs why, in view of the fact that in the Occupation Statute for Germany powers are specifically reserved to the Allied Control Authority with regard to de-cartelisation and deconcentration of German industry, no progress has yet been made with proposals for preventing Herr Krupp from buying his way back into the coal and steel industry.

15. Mr. E. Fletcher

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs what arrangements have been made with Herr Krupp.

Mr. Selwyn Lloyd

I hope to be in a position to make a statement on Wednesday.
