HC Deb 12 June 1953 vol 516 c605

Order read for consideration, as amended (in the Standing Committee).

11.20 a.m.

Mr. Henry Brooke (Hampstead)

I beg to move, That the Bill be re-committed to a Committee of the whole House in respect of the new Clause standing on the Notice Paper in the name of Mr. Henry Brooke. I have no desire to hold up the Bill introduced by the hon. and learned Member for Kettering (Mr. Mitchison), but this new Clause which I seek to move vitally concerns my constituency, and as I was not a member of the Standing Committee this is my first opportunity of raising the matter. For that reason, I hope that the House will agree to the Motion.

Sir Patrick Spens (Kensington, South)

I beg to second the Motion.

Question put, and agreed to.

Bill immediately considered in Committee.

[Sir CHARLES MACANDREW in the Chair]
