asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies to consider appointing a public services commission in Mauritius.

Mr. Lyttelton

A Bill to establish a public service commission and to give the Governor power to appoint the chairman and members of the commission was published in Mauritius last month in preparation for its introduction into the Legislative Council.
