§ 57. Mr. Bullardasked the Minister of Transport whether his attention has been drawn to an accident which took place at Weasenham, Norfolk, on 3rd June, in which three people lost their lives: and whether, in view of the fact that a scheme for the improvement of the dangerous corner there has already been submitted by the Norfolk County Council, he will now make the necessary funds available.
§ Mr. Lennox-BoydI learned of this accident with great regret. I understand that the Norfolk County Council are preparing a revised scheme for improving road conditions at Weasenham All Saints. Any application which they may make to me will receive urgent attention.
§ Mr. BullardWhile thanking my right hon. Friend for that reply, may I ask him to remember that there is widespread concern about this corner throughout Norfolk? Will he see that this improvement is not unduly delayed?
§ Mr. Lennox-BoydI am well aware of the anxiety.
