HC Deb 16 July 1953 vol 517 c2239
32. Mr. Remnant

asked the Minister of Health what are his requirements before permitting the production of B.C.G. vaccine in this country.

Mr. Iain Macleod

Any manufacturer may apply for a manufacturing licence under the Therapeutic Substances Act, 1925. The conditions which an applicant would need to fulfil are laid down in the Therapeutic Substances Regulations, 1952, of which I am sending my hon. Friend a copy.

Mr. Remnant

Have any applications been made?

Mr. Macleod

No, Sir. No application has been made by a British firm.
