asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies to what extent prefabricated houses made in this country are being exported to the Colonies; and whether he will draw the attention of Colonial Governments to the excellence of the British product and the contribution it could make to the housing problem in the Colonies.

Prefabricated buildings to the value of £618,000 were exported in 1952 to 24 Territories. I can assure my hon. Friend that Colonial Governments are aware of the potentialities of this type of building.
