HC Deb 15 July 1953 vol 517 cc2053-4
44. Mr. Donnelly

asked the First Lord of the Admiralty whether he will give immediate instructions that as soon as there is any increase in the pig swill at the Royal Naval Air Station, Brawdy, a separate contract shall be made for the increased amount over and above the amount which is the subject of the present contract.

Mr. Digby

No, Sir. I regret I can give no such undertaking.

Mr. Donnelly

Is the hon. Gentleman aware that the increasing amount of their Lordships' swill is a matter of considerable interest to the pigs in my constituency and, in view of the special circumstances relating to this case, if there is any increase in the future in the swill, would the Civil Lord see that special priority will be given to the original receivers?

Mr. Digby

I do not want to disappoint the hon. Gentleman but, far from increasing, the swill is likely to decrease.
