41. Mr. Skeffington

asked the Minister of Housing and Local Government whether, in view of the Government's proposals in connection with leasehold property, he will consider taking steps to amend Section 20 (3) C of the Housing Act, 1949, in respect of improvement grants.

Mr. Marples

My right hon. Friend is making a general review of the operation of these grants under the Housing Act, 1949, and he would be happy to consider any suggestion which the hon. Member thinks would increase their usefulness.
