§ Order for consideration, as amended, read.
§ 3.40 p.m.
§ The Chancellor of the Exchequer (Mr. R. A. Butler)I beg to move,
That the Bill be recommitted to a Committee of the whole House in respect of the Amendments to Clause 19, page 18, lines 15, 21, 26, 28, 34 and 39; and page 19, line 16, standing on the Notice Paper in the name of the Chancellor of the Exchequer. The reason I have moved this Motion is to fulfil an undertaking given by the Economic Secretary to the Treasury that certain Amendments would be made to Clause 19. It was discovered that these would involve a recommittal of the Bill. It is largely technical, but we are keeping in order by moving this Motion.
§ Question put, and agreed to.
§ Bill immediately considered in Committee.
