HC Deb 02 July 1953 vol 517 c566
13. Mr. Peart

asked the Minister of Agriculture what response he has had from county committees concerning his circular C.A.E.C. 52/58, 1st September, 1952, which deals with arrangements to facilitate the entry of younger men into farming.

Sir T. Dugdale

At the end of 1952, one building licence had been issued on the advice of a county committee, and three other cases were under consideration. Since that date the need for the scheme has disappeared, as local authorities have been authorised to issue licences freely for the building of small dwelling-houses of not more than 1,000 square feet in area.
