§ Mr. L. M. LeverI wish to submit a Petition to this honourable House. It relates to models of coshes, truncheons and stilettos, lewd and obscene film strips and pictures made for use in toy peepshows which show horror, crime, violence and sex, and which are exposed for sale and on view throughout the country. The petitioners are residents of Manchester and district, and the Petition reads as follows:
Wherefore your Petitioners pray that steps will be taken to ban the production, importation and distribution of those toys and publications which are dangerous to, and unsuitable for, children and encourage brutality and hooliganism.And your Petitioners, as in duty bound, will ever pray.To lie upon the Table.
