CIVIL ESTIMATES, SUPPLEMENTARY ESTIMATE, 1952–53

CLASS V

VOTE 1. MINISTRY OF HOUSING AND LOCAL GOVERNMENT

Motion made, and Question proposed, That a Supplementary sum, not exceeding £443,650, be granted to Her Majesty, to defray the charge which will come in course of payment during the year ending on the 31st day of March, 1953, for the salaries and expenses of the Ministry of Housing and Local Government, rent control tribunals, local valuation panels and courts, and the National Parks Commission; grants and other expenses in connection with water supply, sewerage, coast protection, flood emergency and certain Civil Defence services; grants to local authorities in connection with planning and re-development, National Parks, etc.; grants to development corporations established for the purposes of new towns; a grant in aid of the North Devon and West Somerset Relief Fund; a contribution to the Ironstone Restoration Fund; remanet and sundry other services.

Whereupon Motion made, and Question, "That the Chairman do report Progress, and ask leave to sit again "[Mr. Buchan-Hepburn]—put, and agreed to.
