§ Mr. RentonBearing in mind the colossal size of the Ministry of Supply, can my hon. Friend say whether it is intended to keep numbers stable at their present level, or to try to reduce or increase them?
§ Mr. LowMy right hon. Friend is constantly on the look-out for desirable economies in administration, but he is bound by his duties to Service Departments and to the country to see that there is sufficient staff available for research and development and for inspection and production.
