HC Deb 10 December 1953 vol 521 c2193
Mr. Speaker

The Clerk will now proceed to read the Orders of the Day.

Mr. Leslie Hale (Oldham West)

On a point of order. It is utterly impossible for anyone to hear the business being called out. I should be grateful if I could know, before matters are passed, what is being passed.

Mr. Speaker

I have had occasion once or twice in the past to draw the attention of hon. Members to a certain disorderly way of leaving the Chamber at the end of Questions, and I hope it will not occur again. As a matter of fact, nothing has been passed. Two Bills have been presented and the learned Clerk has read the Orders of the Day, the first item of which is: Statute Law Revision Bill [Lords]: Committee.
