§ 4. Mr. G. Thomasasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government the number of villages in England and Wales, respectively, that have no water supply provided; and what steps he is taking to deal with this problem.
§ Mr. H. MacmillanI regret that the information is not available, but every effort is being made to improve water supplies as rapidly as our resources permit.
§ Mr. ThomasI wonder if it would inconvenience the Minister to give some indication of how many villages had a water supply made available to them either during the past year or the past few years?
§ Mr. MacmillanIf the hon. Gentleman would put down a Question in a slightly different form, I will do all I can to get him the information. "Villages" is not a territorial boundary within which we 1713 deal. We deal with "parishes" or "districts" or "councils." Could he have a word with me afterwards and I will do what I can to get him all the information at our disposal?
