§ 18. Mr. Edward Daviesasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government how many houses are being built for sale since the increased allocation allowed under private licence.
§ Mr. H. MacmillanThe available information is published in the Quarterly Housing Returns.
§ Mr. DaviesBut cannot the Minister give us some more information than is contained in the document to which he referred? Is he satisfied that with the present prices there is any solution to the housing programme by making houses available for sale when, in fact, most people who want houses cannot buy them at the present time?
§ Mr. MacmillanI have to be very careful about giving information which is not due until the Housing Returns. I am apt to get into trouble if I do. The next Housing Returns will be submitted to Parliament on the appropriate date of 5th November.
