§ 47. Mr. Wyattasked the Prime Minister whether he will arrange to visit the United States of America to confer with Mr. Eisenhower before his inauguration as President; or whether he will invite Mr. Eisenhower to visit this country on his return from Korea.
§ The Prime MinisterI naturally look forward earnestly to meeting Mr. Eisenhower on the earliest appropriate occasion, but I cannot at present say when that will be.
§ Mr. WyattIs the Prime Minister aware that there is very strong pressure in America, arising out of the recent elections, for some dramatic new action to be taken in Korea? Will he bear in mind that it is vitally important that there should be full consultation with this country at the highest level before any new action in Korea is contemplated to be undertaken?
§ The Prime MinisterI will certainly bear what the hon. Member has said in mind.
