§ 43. Mr. W. J. Fieldasked the Secretary of State for War the qualifications for receiving the Korean Campaign Medal.
§ Mr. FieldIs not the Minister aware of the great esteem in which this medal is held by its recipients and by the general public? Does he not think that it detracts from the value of the medal for it to be awarded to a goat? Will he not stop the practice of awarding medals of this character to animals, even though the animals are regimental mascots?
§ Mr. HeadIt is not the policy of the War Office to award medals to goats. I consider that the present system is the correct solution, and I do not believe it would be right to award this medal outside the operational area.
