§ 31. Mr. John Dugdaleasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies why he has abolished the Colona] Economic Advisory Committee.
§ Mr. LytteltonThe main function of the Colonial Economic and Development Council (to which I assume that the right hon. Member is referring) was to advise upon new colonial development plans. Such plans having now been adopted by almost every Colonial Government, I have not felt justified in keeping the Council in being.
§ Mr. DugdaleIs not the real reason that the right hon. Gentleman is afraid of exposing his economic nakedness to these eminent gentlemen, who really do know something about economics?
