HC Deb 17 March 1952 vol 497 c1901
17. Mr. Nabarro

asked the Minister of Fuel and Power what part of the reduction of Vote 6, Civil Estimates for the Ministry of Fuel and Power from £6,900,000 for 1951–52, to £3,842,000 for 1952–53, is attributable to transfer of opencast coalmining functions from his Department to the National Coal Board; what are the causes of this substantial reduction in the Vote; and whether he will make a statement.

Mr. Geoffrey Lloyd

I should be glad if my hon. Friend would await the publication of details of the Estimate in the normal course.
