HC Deb 12 March 1952 vol 497 cc1379-80
46. Air Commodore Harvey

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Defence what steps have been taken to prevent foreigners residing in this country approaching the perimeter of Service units, including radar stations, in the United Kingdom.

The Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Defence (Mr. Nigel Birch)

Adequate security measures are in force at all defence establishments to prevent the entry of unauthorised persons, and such steps as are possible are taken to ensure that secret equipment cannot be seen from outside perimeters.

Air Commodore Harvey

As certain foreign diplomats are being given special permission to travel to certain parts of the country, will my hon. Friend ensure that they are routed clear of these units?

Mr. Birch

Present regulations take account of all relevant factors.
