I beg to move, That this House, recognising that our future economic prosperity, our living standards and the full employment of our people are at stake, calls the attention of all concerned to the vital need of encouraging and promoting the highest possible level of productivity. Increased productivity is as important for the industrial future of this country as the subject dealt with in the Motion so ably proposed and seconded, and supported by all sides of the House, which we have just debated. During a short discussion on Monday, we heard many appropriate things said about the necessity for productivity. On all sides of the House the view was expressed that every employed person should realise that we are all concerned to see the maintenance of employment at the highest possible level because, as is obvious—
