HC Deb 30 June 1952 vol 503 cc27-8
45. Mr. Emrys Hughes

asked the Prime Minister whether, in view of the changed character of the war in Korea, he will consider making a statement of policy indicating clearly what are now the aims of the United Nations in Korea.

The Lord Privy Seal (Mr. Harry Crookshank)

I have been asked to reply. My right hon. Friend is not aware of any change in the character of the conflict in Korea. As to the aims of the United Nations in Korea, he has nothing to add to what my right hon. Friend the Foreign Secretary said in the debate on Wednesday, 25th June.

Mr. Hughes

Will the right hon. Gentleman assure us that he has not become Prime Minister?
