HC Deb 19 June 1952 vol 502 cc1541-2
21. Mr. G. Roberts

asked the Minister of Health if he has yet considered a report from the Welsh Regional Hospitals Board on the state of affairs in the Caernarvonshire and Anglesey Infirmary, Bangor.

Mr. Iain Macleod

I understand that I may expect the report of the investigating committee and the recommendations of the Regional Hospital Board within the next few weeks.

Mr. Roberts

As matters have been in a critical state at the infirmary for the past six months, will the right hon. Gentleman expedite the matter? There is considerable uneasiness in the area. We have been waiting for six months and public opinion is most disquieted about it.

Mr. Macleod

I understand that, and I fully agree that there has been extremely long delay. The matter is now nearing finality, and I believe that the hon. Gentleman's Question will help towards that.
