asked the Minister of Labour (1) whether he is now able to report upon the recommendation made to him by the Select Committee on Estimates of a third category of disabled persons unfit even for employment in sheltered conditions, and its effect on recruitment for Remploy factories; and whether he will make a statement:

(2) whether he has any statement to make upon the recommendations in paragraph (7) of the Fourth Report of the Select Committee on Estimates dealing with sales of products of Remploy factories; and whether any change has yet been effected.

I would refer the hon. Member to the reply which I gave to the hon. Member for Bedvvellty (Mr. Finch) on 28th July.

I have that reply before me. Could I have an assurance from the hon. Gentleman that no action will be taken by the Minister until this report is made available to the House?

Mr. Watkinson

The report will be available to the House before the end of August, and I do not think that anything is likely to occur before then.
